Update
Since the last post, my sponsored idea has turned into a work group, I've hired and trained one position, and am training another position this week. There has been a lot of turbulence, but my boss recognized it and communicated with me about it.
I didn't realize what an impact a quick 15-minute conversation could have on my mental/emotional state. We had a short conversation about the current work circumstances, the future, etc. (yes, very quick), and then I had a relaxing weekend playing with the kids, exercising, and just letting the tension go. As a result, I was much more efficient and able to adapt to my changing environment today.
I wasn't sure that the calm would last through a whole day, but it did. I still have energy at the end of the day. It is a miracle!!!
